[커세라] 서양 고전음악 입문(Introduction to Classical Music)

아주아주 까마득한 옛날 나도 음악 좀 듣는 척 해봤다. 아마 '음악동아'라는 잡지가 창간되었고 고전음악 듣기 붐이 일었던 시기가 아니었을까 싶다. 그냥 폼 잡는다고 듣다가 지루하지 않다는 것을 알 때쯤 반도체 설계 공부한답시고 멀어졌다. 그렇게 한 30년은 공돌이 연 하며 지냈나 보다. 최근 다시 수학 공부를 시작하면서 문득 음반 구한 답시고 중고시장을 기웃 거리던 시절도 있었다는 기억이 났다. 버킷 리스트에 악기 배우기도 한 줄 있는데 시작을 못하고 있다. 아쉬운 대로 음악을 들어보기로 한다. 그래서 기초 서양 고전 음악 강좌를 찾아봤다. 커세라(COURSERA) 강좌에서 입문과정을 찾아 수강해 보기로 한다. 서양 고전음악 입문(Introduction to Classical Music), 예일 대학교의 크레이그 라이트가 강의한다.

[COURSERA] Introduction to Classical Music (서양 고전음악 입문)

Why should you give me nearly 24 hours of your time? Because I have something to share with you: the glories of Classical Music (and a few of those in the pop realm as well).

Many persons are mystified by Classical Music, but have an intuitive love of it. Others know something about the repertoire, but want to bring a greater awareness to the listening experience, whether it be digital listening or attending a live concert. By the end of this course you will be equipped to do both. Of course you will learn much about Mozart, and Beethoven and Wagner, and their music.

I and my staff will be here to help and to answer questions, mainly through the Discussion Forums. But (likely) you will not use this course to earn a degree or get a better job (work for someone else) Rather, you will use it for you: to educate and enrich yourself continually as part of a lifetime of learning.
